INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Apollo woman with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for an incident that happened Friday afternoon. Police say at 4:15 PM, they were called to the 300 block of Philadelphia Street for a reported assault. Investigation revealed that an unidentified man was hit in the face several times by 38-year-old Amy Johnson while in a vehicle in the area. He suffered minor injuries in the incident.
A Mentcle man is now in Indiana County Jail for violating a protection from abuse order on Friday. Police say that they were called out for the PFA investigation around 2:30 PM in the 400 block of Philadelphia Street. The victim reported that 50-year-old James Keith was walking down the sidewalk and shouted at her. Police were able to acquire an arrest warrant for Keith, and he was taken into custody at his home in Mentcle.
