More Pennsylvanians will be eligible to make vaccine appointments today as the state enters Phase 1-C of its vaccine distribution plan.
According to the PA Department of Health, these people are eligible to receive vaccines starting today:
- Transportation and logistics
- Water and wastewater workers
- Foodservice workers
- Construction workers
- Finance and Bank Tellers
- Information Technology workers
- Communications and media staff
- Energy workers
- Legal services
- All government employees
Next Monday, everyone over the age of 16 will be eligible to receive the vaccine.
As of last Friday, The PA Department of Health reports that 33,810 vaccines have been distributed in Indiana County, with 20,306 people receiving their first dose, and 13,504 people in Indiana County have been fully vaccinated. That means roughly 24 percent of the county’s population have been partially vaccinated, while about 16 percent of the county’s population have been fully vaccinated.
Across the state, more than 2.2 million people are fully vaccinated, with more than 3.8 million receiving partial vaccinations.
