State police are investigating a theft that happened at a construction site in Shelocta Borough. Police say between 6:30 PM on April 5th and 6 AM the next day, someone stole about 500 pounds of copper wire from a construction site. Police say the victim was Max Construction of Monroeville. The copper wire has a value of $1500. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police.
State Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash on Route 286 in Montgomery Township on Wednesday. Troopers say that at 7:06 PM, a vehicle legally parked near a home at 19108 Route 286 East was struck by an unsecured wheel from a vehicle passing by. The suspect did not stop to notify the owner of the damage to the rear driver’s side door. The hit-and-run vehicle was pulling a red in color trailer at the time.
