State police are investigating a case where a suspicious person approached a girl this morning at a school bus stop in Clymer.
Troopers say this happened shortly after 7:00 AM as the girl was alone and waiting at her bus stop near the intersection of Spring Avenue and the Penn Street section of Route 403. The girl told police that a large, dark grey SUV approached her and the driver offered her some candy. When the girl heard the offer, she ran from the scene, back to her mom. After seeing the vehicle go north on Route 403 and turn onto Wilson Street, the girl’s mother called police.
The man was described as heavy-set, between 60 and 70 years old, with short white hair. He did not leave the vehicle during the encounter with the girl.
Troopers are being assisted by Clymer Borough Police. If anyone has any information, contact state police at 724-357-1960 or call 911.
