NORTHERN CAMBRIA – 10, PENNS MANOR – 6
Penns Manor held a 4-3 lead heading into the sixth inning, but Northern Cambria posted 7 runs in the top of the sixth to come back and win, 10-6, on Wednesday.
The Colts were led by Mike Hoover who went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and 3 RBIs. Evan Wiewiora tallied a double while Owen Bougher drove in a pair of runs. On the basepaths, Maverick Baker and Matt Sedlock combined for 5 stolen bases.
Josh Yachtis picked up the win for Northern Cambria after striking out 2 hitters in 1 inning of relief. Josh Miller started the game and struck out 3 while allowing only 1 earned run in 1.1 innings.
Northern Cambria moves to 2-1 while Penns Manor stands at 1-2 on the season.
Indiana 15, Freeport 4
Indiana collected 17 hits on its way to beating Freeport. Gavin Homer collected three hits and scored four times. Austin Homer also had hits and Steven Budash had two hits along with three RBI. Brandon Yanity added three hits to go with two RBIs. Yanity picked up the win in relief with two hits allowed in 3.2 innings.
Indiana, now 4-0 travels to Clearfleild on Friday for a 4:30 game.
