State police have issued two accident reports.
The first of them occurred Thursday night at 10:44 and involved a single vehicle on Newport Road near Rockway Lane in Black Lick Township. No one was injured when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Kelsey Warfel of Greensburg dropped off the road on a left-hand curve, skidding on loose gravel. Police say that in her attempt to regain control, Warfel got the vehicle back onto the road, but it shot across to the other side, hitting an embankment and a tree before turning partially over onto its driver’s side. Warfel and her passenger were able to crawl out of the vehicle and started walking down the road, where they were helped by a passing motorist.
The other accident happened shortly after two o’clock Friday afternoon on Gipsy Road in Montgomery Township. Police say a pickup truck operated by 61-year-old Victor Mihalow of Punxsutawney left the roadway and struck a bridge. Mihalow was unhurt.
