The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce hosted the second in its series of webinars discussing the impact of Covid-19 in Indiana County.
This time around, the focus was on how Covid-19 impacted education at the grade school and collegiate levels. One question dealt with how school might look in the fall. Indiana School District Superintendent Michael Vuckovich said that like the colleges and other schools, they will have to follow the PA Department of Health guidelines, whatever they may be.
IUP president Dr. Michael Driscoll was asked how the university community responded with the requirements put out by the Department of Health, and he said he was satisfied with the response, including the group that designed the protocols that were put together for the university, but was also proud with how those messages were communicated.
Other participants in the discussion were Dr. Tuesday Stanley of Westmoreland County Community College and Michael McDermott of ICTC.
If you missed this week’s webinar, you can find it on our Facebook page.
The series continues next Friday with a discussion in the impact of Covid-19 on federal, state and local government.
