Indiana School District Superintendent Michael Vuckovich reported that a high school student has tested positive for Covid-19 this morning.
The positive test will not count against the district’s rolling 14-day case count as that case was in a full-time synchronous student, meaning he was learning from home. Two additional students will need to be quarantined as a result of their interaction with the student outside of school.
Right now, Indiana High School has the only reported case of Covid-19 in the district as of this morning.
Homer-Center does have a case of Covid-19 that was reported on March 17th. That high school student had no direct contacts with others, and Department of Health protocols were followed. Blairsville Elementary and Middle High Schools are reporting one student case in each building. Last Wednesday, United reported an individual in the first grade pod at United Elementary had contracted Covid-19. No one was identified as a close contact, and that person is self-isolating at home while the area that person was in was cleaned and sanitized.
