All Pennsylvanians in phase 1-A of the state’s Coronavirus vaccine plan are now guaranteed appointments from providers.
The vaccine guarantee is the result of an amended order signed by Acting PA Health Secretary Alison Beam. It requires appointments to be scheduled as far into the future as necessary to accommodate those who are eligible for the shots. Vaccine providers who do not inform phase 1-A individuals of an available appointment may be subject to penalties.
The amended order also requires providers to continue to ensure that appointments can be scheduled both by phone and using the state’s online scheduling system.
