The winds have calmed down from yesterday, but there are still some outages reported in Indiana County.
During yesterday’s wind storms, multiple outages were reported by Penelec and REA Energy in Indiana County and surrounding areas. Emergency crews responded to 14 calls regarding power lines, according to Indiana County 911, and the calls were in Center, Cherryhill, Montgomery, Green, West Wheatfield, Rayne, Glen Campbell, and Canoe Townships, along with Indiana Borough.
As of this morning, REA Energy reported no outages in Indiana County, but 51 customers in the area of Belsano were dealing with a power outage this morning. Power was restored earlier this morning. Penelec is reporting that there are outages in Black Lick and Green townships, but there are fewer than five customers in each area that are affected. Power should be completely restored by 11:00 this morning for those customers.
