After IUP and Seton Hill split Friday’s doubleheader, Seton Hill took the Saturday slate by the scores of 7-1 (game one) and 6-1 (game two).
Renee Wall gave IUP and early lead after hitting a solo home run in the first inning, but the Griffins posted six total runs in the second and third innings to put the game away early. Joining Wall in the hit column was Jacey Henderson, who singled in the fifth.
Seton Hill took control out of the gates in game two, putting up two runs in the first and third innings. IUP’s only run came on a throwing error in the second, which allowed Kaitlyn Beers to score. Renee Wall went 1-2 with a double, while Beers, Shayanne Kimmel, Ashley Renzi and Hope Jones each collected a hit.
IUP moves to 9-7 on the season and the Crimson Hawks look to bounce back as they travel to Shippensburg on Tuesday for a two-game set with the Raiders.
