Today looks to be a blustery day for Indiana County and most of Western Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for areas of western Pennsylvania, including Indiana County, along with the northern panhandle of West Virginia. That advisory will end at 6:00 tonight.
Winds are expected out of the southwest at 20 to 30 miles an hour, gusting up to 50 miles an hour at times. Those gusty winds could blow around garbage cans and other unsecured outdoor items and tree limbs and power lines could come down, bringing about some possible scattered power outages.
The National Weather Service advises everyone to use extra caution while driving, especially if the vehicle is a high-profile vehicle like a tractor-trailer. People are also advised to secure outdoor objects.
