The high winds have already caused some power outages across Indiana County.
Both REA Energy and Penelec are reporting several outages. REA Energy is reporting that about 2,400 of their members are without power at this time, with some of the outages due to high winds and others due to a loss of the feed from the cooperative’s power supplier. Penelec says that 134 customers in Indiana County are without power, mainly in the areas of Canoe and Green Townships.
There’s no estimate on when power will be restored because of the fact that the outage was caused by severe weather.
