Indiana County Emergency Services Director Tom Stutzman updated the county commissioners and attendees during the commissioners meeting Wednesday morning on the status of Covid-19 in the county and a Covid-19 vaccine clinic.
Stutzman said that there has been a slight uptick in the daily covid-19 case numbers, but nothing that has been drastic. Stutzman also asked people to remain patient with the vaccination process, and the process to put together a mass vaccination clinic to enhance what IRMC is doing. The county emergency services agency is working both federal and state emergency management agencies along with the state department of health to increase the number of vaccine doses allocated so they can administer 1,000 doses a day, six days a week for a 90-day period, and also address those who are home bound and can’t get to a clinic. Stutzman mentioned April 26th as a possible date for this to start, but it could fluctuate due to the availability of vaccines.
In other business, the County Commissioners approved two $50,000 CARES Act Revolving Loan Fund Loans. One goes to WH Fencing, and the other to 422 Home Sales.
