On the heels of his recent testimony at the state senate budget hearings, State System of Higher Education Chancellor Dan Greenstein will make his appearance at IUP as part of his virtual tour of the 14 state-owned universities next week.
Greenstein’s virtual visit will be held on March 30th, and part of that visit will be a public forum from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Zoom video chat. Attendees will be able to use the chat box in the meeting room to submit questions to the Chancellor. The topic of the public forum will be “The Future of System Redesign.”
Last Thursday, Chancellor Greenstein was testifying during the Senate Appropriations Committee hearing and in an exchange with Senator Joe Pittman, Greenstein said that if measures being taken do not resolve the state system’s financial problems, he would go to the PASSHE board of Governors and say that he would recommend they go to the PA house and senate next year with a bill to dissolve the state system.
