The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced that face mask guidelines for the state have been altered to match the recent guidelines put out by the Centers for Disease Control.
The new guidelines state that anyone who has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 can do the following:
- Visit other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
- Visiting with unvaccinated people from a single household at low risk for severe Covid-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
- Refrain from quarantine and testing following a known exposure, if they are asymptomatic.
The CDC continues to recommend avoiding medium- and large-size in-person gatherings, wear masks when in public, and continue to keep a physical distance. People are also advised to get tested if they experience Covid-19 symptoms, and follow guidance from their employers and travel requirements and recommendations.
A person is considered fully vaccinated if it’s been more than two weeks since their second vaccine dose, or if it’s been two weeks since they received a single-dose vaccine.
