The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters has once again honored Renda Broadcasting and Digital with three of their Excellence in Broadcasting and Digital Media awards.
Your hometown stations were honored in the categories of news coverage, sports and digital media content. In news, Todd Marino was honored for Best News Feature Story for his work on “From IUP to the Pandemic Battlefield”, based on an Indiana in the Morning interview with Dr. Joe Rocco, an IUP Graduate who now works with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under Dr. Anthony Faucci in Washington, DC.
Renda’s digital department won for best Digital Promotion for the “Salute to the Covid Class of 2020” initiative put together by digital coordinator John Smathers. And Renda Broadcasting General Manager Mark Bertig was honored for Best Play-by-play sports for his coverage of Homer-Center football.
Alan Serena, the Corporate Vice President of Renda Broadcasting and Digital, said he was proud of the efforts that brought forth these awards.
The awards will be presented in May.
