With the ongoing effort to have its faculty members receive their covid-19 vaccination, the Indiana Area School District is planning for the full return of students to school, and is asking parents for their thoughts on the process.
Calling it “the necessary first step,” the district has posted a survey on its website, iasd.cc, and is asking for its return by the close of business tomorrow.
The survey asks parents for the grade levels of their children, the current educational model they are using, and “If IASD were able to open fully…and the opportunity were available to send your children back to in-person school four of five days per week,” would they send them as much as possible, would they not send them, or would they send them only if six feet of social distancing can be maintained?
The survey notes that social distancing would be done to the greatest extent possible, but a minimum of six feet will not be possible in all classrooms.
The school district emphasizes that the survey does not mean that it will definitely be reopening fully at this time.
