The State Senate Appropriations Committee will begin budget hearings today, days after the House Appropriations Committee concluded its hearings.
Senator Joe Pittman is a member of the Senate committee, while Representative Jim Struzzi sits on the House committee.
Pittman says he will be building on similar themes to those utilized by Struzzi during the House hearings.
Today’s hearing schedule includes both morning and afternoon sessions. In the morning, the committee will hear from the Independent Fiscal Office. In the afternoon, it will be the turn of Department of Revenue, emphasizing the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Other departments scheduled to appear before the committee this week are the Department of State, DEP, the Department of Human Services, and PennnDOT.
