No suspects have been named in a shooting that happened on Wednesday at a home in Dilltown. State police say that an unknown suspect shot a 12-gauge shotgun at a home on River Road around 10:55 PM, with the buckshot damaging a bay window and going into the walls, some picture frames and a thermostat. At the time of the shooting, three people were inside the house: a 78-year-old man and a 48-year-old man from Dilltown, and a 45-year-old Clarksburg woman. No injuries were reported and the names of the victims were not released. Total value of the damaged property was $4200.
State police are investigating a theft that happened between February 27th and March 2nd at a garage in Homer City. Troopers say that an unidentified thief or thieves unlawfully entered the garage belonging to an un-named 59-year-old Homer City man on Kassel Street in Center Township and stole a weed eater, a chainsaw, a cordless saw, an air compressor, a screw gun, two tool bags, a radio, two bicycles and various other hand tools. $2250 in items were taken from the garage. The thief or thieves did not need to force their way into the building. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police at 724-357-1960.
State Police say someone used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for some food at a fast food restaurant in White Township on February 26th. The incident happened at the Subway in Townfair Plaza on Ben Franklin Road between 9 AM and 6 PM that day. The investigation continues.
