The Pirates stunned the New York Yankees’ pitchers on Saturday as they collected nine hits in a 3-2 win in seven innings.
All three of Pittsburgh’s runs came from right fielder Gregory Polanco, who went 3-3 at the plate with a solo home run in the fifth inning to solidify the win.

Also contributing to the offensive showcase was Bryan Reynolds, who went 2-3.
On the mound, Carson Fulmer earned the win as he allowed only one hit in two innings of relief. Shea Spitzbarth concluded matters in the seventh with a perfect inning, earning him his second save of the spring.
The Pirates are now 3-3-1 in Spring Training play and will return to LECOM Park tomorrow afternoon to face the Baltimore Orioles.
