State police from the Punxsutawney Barracks are investigating a case of animal cruelty that was discovered Wednesday in northern Indiana County.
Troopers say they were called out to 256 Yoder Road in North Mahoning Township on March 3rd and it was determined that three dogs, two Pit Bulls and a Labrador Retriever, had attacked a miniature pony there. During the attack, one of the Pit Bulls was shot and killed by the pony’s owner and the other dogs ran from the scene. They were found later at a location on Laska Road in Punxsutawney. Police do not have a lead on the owner of the dogs.
Anyone with information on the incident or the owner of the dogs is asked to call police at 814-938-0510.
