CLYMER BOROUGH
Clymer Borough Police have charged a Clymer man with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct yesterday. Police say they were called out for a domestic disturbance around 10:34 AM at a home on Sage Street. 29-year-old Brian James Reed was allegedly involved in an argument with his girlfriend that turned physical when he began striking and slapping her. The fight then went outdoors and into the front yard, where a witness said that the victim was on the ground while Reed hit her.
The victim had minor injuries and refused treatment. Reed was arraigned on charges of misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment and disorderly conduct. He is now in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $5000 cash bail, and is awaiting a preliminary hearing on March 15th.

State police are investigating the theft of some tools from a motor vehicle in South Mahoning Township on Tuesday. Police say around 7:09 PM, someone went to the home of a 70-year-old man on 171 Beltz Road and stole two chainsaws and a mini cultivator from the back of an unlocked toolbox. Total estimated loss is around $850
