Tonight is a big night for four area high school basketball teams as two will walk away as champions of the Heritage Conference.
In girls’ action, Homer-Center will play host to No.3 West Shamokin at the HomerDome. Homer-Center beat the Penns Manor Comets Thursday, 43-35, coming from behind for the win. West Shamokin beat United, 49-45, on Thursday after losing twice to the Lions over a six-day period, but the win came when it counted in the playoffs.
On the boys’ side, it will be West Shamokin putting its undefeated season on the line as the Wolves play host to the United Lions. United beat Penns Manor, 56-53, on Thursday to advance to the finals, while West Shamokin came up with the 67-50 win over Marion Center.
You can hear the games on Cat Country 106.3 FM tonight, with Chuck Clark calling the girls’ championship, starting at 4:40 with the pre-game show. Todd Marino will have the call of the boys’ championship at about 6:40.
