PSP-INDIANA
An Indiana woman faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon for an incident Friday night in Armstrong Township. Police say that an argument between 46-year-old Deidre Richards and 47-year-old Donald Richards at a home on Sylvan Acres Road turned violent as she hit him multiple times with a hammer. She was charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment and is now in Indiana County Jail after she failed to post $25,000 bail.
A Marion Center teenager is charged in connection with a domestic assault that happened Friday afternoon at a location on Pearce Hollow Road in Rayne Township. State police say that the 16-year-old was involved in an argument with her mother when it escalated and resulted in the daughter slapping her mother in the face and strangling her. Visible injuries were seen on both mother and daughter. The daughter was taken into custody and after processing by state police, she was released to Indiana County Juvenile Probation.
PSP-EBENSBURG
An Armagh man was charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that happened at the Armagh Fire Station last Friday morning. State police from the Ebensburg barracks say around 2:32 AM on February 19th, an unknown vehicle crashed into the fire station building, and then fled the scene. The crash was caught on video surveillance. Police were called out late in the morning on the 19th, and later that day the driver responsible for the crash, 22-year-old Casey Uadiski of Armagh, came down to the scene and admitted to the crash.
