On Monday Night, the Indiana Area School Board took no action on a motion concerning the compensation of real estate tax collectors.
The tax collectors would be paid on a per tax bill basis, but board Vice-President Julia Trimarchi-Cuccaro said that she felt more information was needed before the fee schedule was set.
The motion will be discussed in a special meeting of the Finance Committee before it comes back before the full board at their next meeting.
In other business the board approved the purchase of audio equipment for the Junior High School Auditorium to bring it in line with FCC requirements at a total cost of $17,206. $10,000 of that was already budgeted in the Capital Reserve, and another $5000 came from a donation from Dr. Jill Earman, a former district teacher. An additional $2,206 was requested from the district’s capital reserve to cover the remaining cost. The board also approved the purchase of livestreaming equipment for the Junior High Auditorium at a cost of $9,613.
