Rain continued to plague Florida spring training sites, forcing the Pirates to move workouts for their pitchers and catchers indoors.
Manager Derek Shelton says he is excited to start managing in game situations again, and to lead a group of young, developing prospects.
Shelton says Jacob Stallings is his starting catcher, and praised his leadership and defensive abilities. Stallings says his role this year will be more demanding, with so many young, inexperienced pitchers needing guidance.
