In Indiana County Court today, Senior Judge William Martin will conduct Plea Court for several defendants, including a Philadelphia man involved in a counterfeiting case.
24-year-old Bilal Basil Butler will have three cases before Judge Martin today. He is charged with forgery and theft by deception in each of them. They’re all from last May. Butler is accused of passing two counterfeit $100 bills at the Indiana Giant Eagle store, pocketing the change after making two small purchases. He is facing the same charges in Cambria County.
Butler could have legitimately worn a mask due to covid-19, but chose not to, and was quickly identified thanks to video surveillance images.
Judge Martin will also conduct Plea Court for:
- John Thane of Adah, Fayette County, who is charged with possession of a controlled substance, of a small amount of marijuana, and of drug paraphernalia.
- Rachelle Raye Hamilton of Lancaster, who is charged with theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
- Raymond Rager of Indiana, on a single charge of retail theft.
- Sarah Rose Erdley of Indiana, who is charged with possession of a small amount opf marijuana and two summary traffic offenses.
- Summer Leigh Marana of Saltsburg, who is charged with charged with possession of a controlled substance, of a small amount of marijuana, and of drug paraphernalia.
- Dalton Felton of Johnstown, who is charged with charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, and of drug paraphernalia.
