The Steelers have hired Grady Brown as their defensive backs coach. Brown has never coached in the NFL, but has served internships with the Chiefs and Seahawks.
Brown is well-traveled in the college ranks. He was hired last week to be cornerbacks coach at the University of Houston, after serving as defensive coordinator at McNeese State. But he never coached a game at McNeese State because their season was canceled last year.
He has also coached at Old Dominion, South Carolina, Louisville, LSU, Southern Miss, Birmingham Southern, Texas Southern, Alabama State, and Alabama A&M.
