State police have issued reports on a number of thefts in Indiana County, including one in which more than $300 worth of merchandise was stolen from the White Township Walmart store.
Police have not identified the two suspects arrested on Friday night. A 22-year-old woman from Indiana and her 20-year-old sister are accused of under-ringing $309.85 worth of household items at the self-checkout. They will face additional charges because they had their 12-year-old sister, who is from Johnstown, with them.
A Blairsville man has been charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing a phone charger from the Center Township Sheetz store. Police say 26-year-old Matthew Hill took the item off the rack on February 10th, unpackaged it, and left the store without paying for it.
25-year-old Colson Wagner of Indiana and 24-year-old Samantha Riley of Home are facing charges after a theft incident at the Dollar Tree store in White Township. It happened February 3rd. Police report that they stole about ten dollars worth of merchandise and when they searched Wagner, they found drugs and related paraphernalia.
Police are also looking into a burglary reported Saturday night at a home along North Harrison Avenue in Home. 65-year-old Bernard Shaner reported the theft of a gray-colored Dremel tool valued at $45.
