A covid-19 pop-up testing clinic got underway Saturday at the Indiana Mall parking lot, but the numbers are not as high as the last time the free testing clinic was held.
Indiana County Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman reported that on the first day of testing on Saturday, 46 tests were administered and another 17 tests were performed on Sunday. The last time the county held a covid-19 pop-up testing clinic, 145 tests were administered on the first day while another 106 were administered on the second day.
There are three days left in the five-day clinic. Hours run from 9 am to 6 pm each day at the former Bon Ton parking lot at the Indiana Mall. The tests are free, but people are encouraged to bring their ID and an insurance card if they have one. People will be advised to drive up to the entrance to the Bon Ton store, but they are to stay in their vehicles as the test is administered. No appointments are necessary and the testing is open to the public.
