State police are investigating the theft of unemployment benefits in northern Indiana County. Police say it occurred on January 28th and involved a 49-year-old Canoe Township man whose benefits were taken. It’s being investigated as a forgery/counterfeiting.
State police in Kittanning report the arrest of an Indiana man for drug possession. 34-year-old Eric Shank is accused of having five bags of heroin in his possession when he was taken into custody on February 9th in Harmar Township, Allegheny County. Shank is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on February 22nd in Allegheny County.
