The Indiana Area School District yesterday reported that a Senior High School staff member has tested positive for covid-19, and one student and two other staff members are being quarantined as a result. With two active cases on its rolling 14-day count, the Senior High will remain open under the current protocols.
The district’s previously-reported case at the Senior High will be removed from the rolling count on Saturday. A case at the Junior High is scheduled to be removed on Friday.
Penns Manor reports a high school student and a school employee have both tested positive. The student has not been in school since last Thursday, and the employee has not been at work since last Friday. The district has worked with the Department of Health to identify and notify individuals who were in contact with both. It has not said if others are in quarantine.
Indiana and Penns Manor are the only two districts in Indiana County reporting new coronavirus infections.
