Today is the annual United Way Soup-er Bowl fundraiser, which has changed this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Due to the pandemic, the traditional dine-in option is not being offered this year, but the United Way is teaming up with the Hilton Garden Inn to provide curbside pickup for your orders for soup. You can pull up under the awning at the hotel near the KCAC and pick up your order there. You can also place an order for soup from the curbside pickup area.
This year, both Nap’s and C.H. Fields Craft Kitchen will offer soups, with Nap’s offering its traditional spicy tomato gorgonzola and chicken pastina and C.H. Fields offering Beer Cheese Soup with pretzel croutons and buffalo chicken wing soup.
The minimum donation is $7 per bowl of soup, and it includes soup, bread, cookie and a drink. The fundraiser will run from 11 AM to 2 PM today.
