Winter weather is on its way to Indiana County as we’re expecting some significant snowfall tonight.
The National Weather Service has scheduled a Winter Weather Advisory to go into effect tonight at 10 PM and will remain in effect for 24 hours, until 10 PM Sunday. 3-5 inches of snow is expected during that time in portions of Southwest and Western Pennsylvania and into some of the surrounding areas. That could make travel very difficult as roads could be slippery and the heavy snowfall could reduce visibility on the roads to less than half a mile.
If you have to go out, you are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling.
