The Evergreen After School Club has announced that its board president, Louis Sacco, has retired from his post.
Sacco served two four-year terms as a board member of the educational group and three years as board president. During his time, he oversaw the transition from being an affiliate of the Western Pennsylvania Boys and Girls Club to become its own independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
David Janusek of the Evergreen After School Club said that Sacco’s impact will be felt down the road, especially with his fundraising efforts.
Sacco will be succeeded by new board president Joyce Sharman and Ryan Wingrove will serve as the board’s vice president.
