State police have charged an Indiana man with driving under the influence for a crash that happened in Armstrong Township on Saturday. Troopers say that 24-year-old Mohammed Aljohani of Indiana was driving on Route 422 about a quarter-mile from Five Points Road when he veered across the center line and into the oncoming lane of travel. The vehicle went off the left side of the road, hitting the guard rail. The car rotated, hitting the guide rail a second time and eventually came to rest. While Aljohani was not injured, police arrested him on a charge of driving under the influence.
A woman had to be life-flighted to an area hospital after a domestic incident in Center Township Saturday night. State police say that at 10:08 PM, they were dispatched for the domestic dispute on 2nd Street in Graceton. The investigation revealed that the two people, identified only as a 47-year-old Graceton man and a 51-year-old Graceton woman, were involved in an argument over methamphetamines which later turned physical. The woman suffered major head trauma and was transported to the hospital via medical helicopter. The man was taken into custody on domestic violence charges and was placed in Indiana County Jail.
