On Monday Night, the Purchase Line School Board approved a new contract with the Purchase Line Education Association.
The agreement is for four years, starting in July of 2021, and there is an average annual salary raise of 2.78 percent. District Superintendent Shawn Ford called the agreement a fair one for all involved parties, including the students.
In other business, it was announced that tomorrow, Purchase Line High School Students are headed back to full in-school instruction for four days a week, marking the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic that the district will have their students fully in school for all grade levels. Ford said he is excited to have students return.
The board also approved a new resolution concerning Covid-related sick leave, granting special sick leave to employees who are in quarantine as a result of being a “close contact” with someone in the workplace due to Covid-19, and approved amendments and addendums to the athletic health and safety plan.
