State police have issued reports on three accidents, including one yesterday afternoon on Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township. A Mount Pleasant man’s SUV slid out on control on the slush-covered highway, traveling up an embankment and back onto the road as it flipped onto its roof. The driver, 61-year-old Regis Biller, and his passenger, 35-year-old Joe Biller, escaped injury.
One person was injured yesterday morning in a crash at the intersection of South 6th Street and Lucerne Road in White Township. Police say 64-year-old Devon Meyers of Marion Center was southbound when 28-year-old David Harmon of New Florence tried to make a left turn in front of him, and the two collided. The Meyers vehicle then veered off the road into a utility pole. Meyers suffered a minor leg injury from the deployment of his vehicle’s airbag, but refused treatment. No one else was injured.
Police do not identify the driver whose pickup truck struck a building along Locust Street in Center Township yesterday morning. Police say the driver’s foot got caught on the gas pedal as he pulled into a parking lot, causing the truck to hit the structure, damaging the door, a deck, and the siding. No one was injured.
