The Pittsburgh Penguins fell once again to the Philadelphia Flyers last night, this time by a score of 5-2.
The Flyers jumped out to a 3-2 lead in the first period after two goals from Travis Konecny and a goal from Ivan Provorov in the first 12 minutes of the game. The only Penguins goals came in the first as Sidney Crosby scored on the power play and Brandon Tanev also tallied a goal. After a scoreless second period, Konecny completed the hat-trick close to midway through the period, and Oskar Lindblom finished the scoring late in the third.
Pens starting goaltender Tristian Jarry was pulled after allowing the third goal in the first period. Pens Coach Mike Sullivan talked about Jarry’s rocky start.
The 0-2 Pens return home to host the Washington Capitals on Sunday and you can hear the game on U92.5 FM and the U92.5 Sports Channel starting at 11:00 with the pre-game show.
