Gas prices in Pennsylvania and in Indiana County are increasing once again.
Triple A reports that the average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is now $2.65 a gallon. That is a three-cent increase from last week and a seven cent increase from last month. It still represents a 16-cent decrease from where the average was one year ago. The national average is now at $2.35 a gallon.
Indiana County’s average is now $2.71 a gallon, an increase of nine cents from last week. The new average ties Indiana County with Cambria County for the second-highest gas price average in the region. The highest goes to Jefferson County, with an average of $2.74 a gallon. The lowest gas price average in the region is $2.59 a gallon in Armstrong County. Next highest was Westmoreland County with $2.61 a gallon and Clearfield County’s average is $2.67 a gallon.
In Indiana Borough and White Township, gas prices now range from $2.69 to $2.75 a gallon. Gas prices are also at $2.75 in Homer City, Blairsville and Clymer.
