First responders were busy yesterday with two brush fires and multiple calls for utility lines down.
The first brush fire of 2021 and the first of the day was reported at 10:26 AM on Monday near Route 403 South in East Wheatfield Township. Armagh and Clyde fire departments were dispatched at that time. The other brush fire was reported on Cunkelman Road in Blacklick Township at 9:03 PM. Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were dispatched for that call.
Lines were reported down at 12:56 PM on Green Street in Young Township, at 1:20 PM on Franklin Street in Clymer Borough, and on Route 403 North in Cherryhill Township at 9:26 PM. Iselin fire department responded to the Young Township call, while Clymer Fire Department went out for the other two calls.
Plumville fire department and State Police were called out at 4:50 PM to Route 954 North in Washington Township for a vehicle crash. No details have been reported on the crash.
