The Blairsville-Saltsburg School District has issued a revised return-to-school plan, taking effect tomorrow.
Starting tomorrow, elementary students in grades pre-K through 5 will return to in-person instruction four days per week. Grades 6 through 12 will follow the hybrid instructional model that has been in place since the start of the school year, with students with last names starting with A through L in school Mondays and Tuesdays, Wednesday being a deep-clean day for the school buildings, and students with last names starting with M through Z in school on Thursday and Friday.
Starting on January 19th, instruction for secondary students in grades 6 through 12 will follow the parents’ choice selected from the Instructional Model Parent Survey, which is located on the district’s website. Parents are asked to complete one survey for each child. There will be three options offered: Continuing the hybrid model, returning to four days of in-person instruction each week, or going fully remote. The option chosen for each child will remain in place until the mid-third marking period. Parents of middle and high school students are asked to complete the survey by Tuesday.
