The Pennsylvania Department of Health has reported a new single-day record of Covid-19 cases in Indiana County.
The department reported that Indiana County had 111 cases of Covid-19 reported over the last 24 hours, making it the most Covid-19 infections reported in a single day. This brings the case total to 4,242 cases in Indiana County since the start of the Pandemic in March. The count includes 994 probable cases and 3,248 positive cases. 138 deaths have also been reported in Indiana County since the start of the pandemic. The state is also reporting 15,686 negative tests for coronavirus in the county.
Statewide, the Department of Health reports that the state is approaching 700,000 cases of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic. The department reported 693,087 total cases, with 616,519 positive cases reported. The state has also recorded 17,179 deaths. The state is also reporting a 72% recovery rate.
