At the Sugar Bowl, Ohio State’s Justin Fields went 22 of 28 passing for 385 yards and a Sugar Bowl-record six passing touchdowns en route to the Buckeyes’ win over Clemson 49-28. Most of the passes came after Fields took a big hit to the ribs. Clemson linebacker James Skalski lowered his head and hit Fields directly in the ribs. Skalski was ejected from the game for targeting. Fields walked off for one play and came back to finish the game.
Meanwhile, in the Rose Bowl game in Texas, Alabama showed their dominance as they beat Notre Dame 31-14. Alabama had built a 24 point lead in one point in the game before Notre Dame scored in the game’s final minute.
This means Alabama and Ohio State will face in the CFB 2021 National Championship on Monday, January 11th.
