Today is New Year’s Day, and that means several closures are in effect for today.
Like most holidays, all federal, state and local government offices will be closed, along with PennDOT license and photo centers, including the one located in the Indiana Mall. In addition, Fine Wine and Good Spirits stores will be closed today and will reopen tomorrow, January 2nd at their regularly-scheduled time.
United States Postal offices will not be open today, as New Year’s Day is labeled as a federal holiday. However, while regular mail will not be delivered, priority express mail will be delivered today. Regular mail will resume its delivery on January 2nd.
Locally, IndiGo Bus Services will not operate today. And many stores will also close for the holiday.
Garbage collection services could be running on a holiday schedule, depending on the collector. Contact your hauler for potential changes in operation.
