On Monday, the Teddy Bear Fund Drive received another substantial donation to help IRMC’s Pediatrics and UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh from Downtown Indiana’s Christmas Tree Decorating Contest.
During ceremonies Monday afternoon, it was announced that the second annual contest raised over $1000 for Renda Broadcasting’s annual fundraiser, more than quadrupling the amount raised in the first year. Linda Mitchell of Downtown Indiana, Inc. was impressed with how popular the contest has become.
The winning tree this year was from the Indiana County Wood Turners Association as they raised $600 through the sale of their ornaments. Dave Fairman of the Wood Turners Association talked about how quickly the group responded.
