Cornerback Joe Haden was a full practice participant for the Steelers yesterday, as he works his way back from a concussion and appears to be ready to return to the lineup.
Guard Kevin Dotson, who injured his shoulder last week against Buffalo, sat out as did running back James Conner, who has a quad injury. If healthy in time for Monday night’s game at Cincinnati, Dotson would start at left guard in place of the injured Matt Feiler. If he can’t go, J.C. Hassenauer would presumably get the start.
Backup safety Sean Davis also sat out yesterday, due to illness. Ben Roethlisberger did not practice but is not injured.
Defensive end Cam Heyward says the Steelers are well aware of how important it is to turn around their two-game losing streak.
Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick says the locker room conversation among the Steelers has not been about what went wrong the last two weeks, but about what needs to be done to get better.

Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert pushed the ball into the end zone from inside the one-yard line to give the Chargers a 30-27 overtime win over the Raiders last night. The Raiders quarterback, Derek Carr, left the game in the first quarter with a groin injury, and his replacement, former Tennessee Titan Marcus Mariota, threw for 226 yards and touchdown in relief. Mariota also ran for a score.
There are a pair of Saturday games on the NFL schedule this week. Buffalo battles the Broncos in Denver and the Carolina Panthers play the NFC North-winning Packers in the nightcap in Green Bay.
