All week long, volunteers from local businesses and organizations collected money for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive. Volunteers stood outside the 700 Shop in Indiana from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and put together a drive that was successful, despite the on-going pandemic.
Some notable contributions came from the law firm of Marcus & Mack, who donated $500, the Fraternal Order of Eagles donated $250, IndiGo contributed nearly $230 and Mechling Insurance Agency donated $200.
Josh Rosenberger, owner of the 700 Shop, said the volunteers played a pivotal role in spreading the giving spirit among donors.
While lots of donations surpassed either double or triple digits, Rosenberger said people feel good no matter the amount of donations.
An exact collection total will be announced later this weekend, and it is rumored that this week raised more than $10,000 for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
