Coach Pat Narduzzi signed 21 players for the Pitt football team yesterday in the early signing period. “Twenty-one” is the key number: 21 players in the 2021 recruiting class, which is ranked 21st in the nation by Rivals.com.
Narduzzi says that in the unusual recruiting year that this has been, he still doesn’t know the new players well, and they don’t know Pitt yet, either.
There are six Pennsylvania players in the class, including four-star defensive linemen Elliot Donald of Central Catholic and West Mifflin’s Nahki Johnson. Donald is the nephew of former Pitt star and Rams All-Pro Aaron Donald. There is one other four-star recruit on Pitt’s list: Defensive end Naquan Brown of Virginia Beach.
Rivals.com ranked Penn State’s recruiting class No. 28. The top five are Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, and Oregon.
